FDA issues warning letter to 2 manufacturers of synthetic nicotine products that violated regulations

2022-08-02

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning letter to manufacturers of synthetic nicotine products that violate regulations, saying they are illegally selling synthetic nicotine products without authorization.

In March, the President of the United States signed a bill giving the FDA the authority to regulate synthetic nicotine. Manufacturers have until May 14, 2022, to submit a marketing application to the FDA. Products without marketing authorization before July 13, 2022 are considered illegal.

According to the regulations, the FDA issued warning letters to AZ Swagg Sauce and Electric Smoke Vapor House. Neither company has filed a premarket application for a synthetic nicotine product by the deadline.
