"We have decided to ban the sale and consumption of e-cigarettes in Kazakhstan through legislative amendments. Kazakhstan will completely ban the sale and consumption of tobacco-containing cigarettes and e-cigarettes," he said.

According to reports, Kazakhstan has not currently taxed electronic heated cigarettes (IQOS and GLO). At the same time, lawmakers made additions and amendments to the Health Care Code banning the sale and consumption of tobacco-containing e-liquids and vaping. Zamarov said: "The sale and consumption of various flavored e-liquids and vaping cigarettes in Kazakhstan will be completely banned. Therefore, these concepts have been removed from the tax code."
