1. State Tobacco Monopoly Administration promulgates Administrative Rules on E-Cigarette Import and Export Trade and Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation


On October 14, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration issued the Administrative Rules on E-cigarette import and Export Trade and Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation, which set out detailed regulations on e-cigarette import and export trade, foreign investment, technical cooperation and cross-border service trade. 2. More than 550 companies have obtained e-cigarette production licenses


More than 550 companies have obtained licenses as of Oct 10, according to the latest list of more than 159 companies that have received licenses to manufacture e-cigarettes.


The list of newly added companies includes three subsidiaries of A-share 100 billion market capitalization listed company Lishun Precision, A-share listed company Yingqu Technology and so on. New e-cigarette brands such as COEE, JeX Sharp, Soyee leaf, INS Silverstone, FiBIE, Xiang Yu, IJOY, Firearm, VANZA Van Shark, Wel Whale and so on have obtained production licenses.


3. The products of at least 44 e-cigarette brands have passed national standards


As of October 8, a total of 44 e-cigarette brands have passed the technical evaluation of the compulsory national standard for e-cigarettes or obtained the e-cigarette production license, which means that the products of these brands can be traded through the unified national e-cigarette trading management platform.


The 44 brands are: Yue moment, Lord snow, grapefruit, flute, platinum, and ono, VAZO, fan, CKC, INS silver stone, carved, the camera, the fog, platinum haze, qian mu, blizzard, m I, ice shell, van gogh, platinum, firearms, only it, VTV, fog, MYX find, feel, easydrive, for color, whales, can escape, Kang Cheng yipin, fog, JEX, spirit's guest, soye Lord e Little LEAF, HANQINGDA HQD, Meishengwei MASONVAP, BoDI Bpod, YOOT OUTi, Lanka, Xiangyu Atomization, YPEN, KAX, Small Story.


4. RELX Yue Engraving released GB new Phantom Pro

6. Recent studies from China and the UK show that e-cigarettes are far less harmful than cigarettes


On October 8, a research team from the School of Pharmacy of Sun Yat-sen University published a paper in Archives of Toxicology, a global core journal of toxicology, pointing out that at the same nicotine dose, e-cigarette sol is less harmful to respiratory system than cigarette smoke.


In this study, the Sun Yat-sen University research team for the first time compared the effects of cigarette and e-cigarette on lung function, inflammatory factors and protein expression in mice with the same nicotine content, which filled the scientific research gap in related fields.


In addition, a new study by King's College London also found that e-cigarettes carry far fewer health risks than cigarettes, and smokers who switch to e-cigarettes will significantly reduce their exposure to toxins that can cause cancer, lung disease and cardiovascular disease.


7. FDA sends Warning letter to Puff Bar


The FDA recently issued a warning letter to Puff Bar for receiving and shipping e-cigarettes in the United States without a sales authorization order.


The FDA asked the company to respond within 15 business days of receiving the letter detailing how the company intends to address the FDA's concerns, including the date they will cease selling and/or distributing these tobacco products and their plans to remain compliant with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Failure to address violations exposes manufacturers to the risk of regulatory action, such as civil penalties, product forfeiture, and/or injunctions.


8. More than 2.5 million middle school students in the U.S. use e-cigarettes


An estimated 2.55 million middle school students in the United States have vaped in a 30-day period, according to the latest annual survey released on the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Oct. 7. The numbers are "alarming" and suggest that e-cigarette popularity in the U.S. is far from over.


9. The global e-cigarette market will reach $24.6 billion by 2027


The global market for e-cigarettes was estimated at US $14.1 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach US $24.6 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 8.3%, according to research platform MarketGlass. China's e-cigarette market is expected to reach $5.6 billion by 2027.
