On June 19, the official website of the Shenzhen Tobacco Monopoly Bureau released the "Notice of the Shenzhen Tobacco Monopoly Bureau on the Results of Quality Supervision and Sampling of E-cigarette Products in Shenzhen in the First Half of 2023", which mentioned that "the inspection results show that all 12 of the products that were spot-checked All safety indicators are in line with the requirements of the National Compulsory Standard for Electronic Cigarettes (GB 41700-2022).

In the first half of 2023, the Shenzhen Tobacco Monopoly Bureau organized a quality supervision and random inspection of electronic cigarette products in our city. The results of the spot check are hereby notified as follows:

1. Sampling situation


This time, 18 sets of electronic cigarette products (composed of 17 smoking equipment products and 18 pod products) from 15 inspected units in our city were randomly checked.


This spot check is based on the relevant requirements of the national mandatory standard of "Electronic Cigarettes" (GB 41700-2022) and the "Shenzhen Electronic Cigarette Product Quality Supervision and Spot Inspection Plan for the First Half of 2023", focusing on the anti-filling and anti-leakage of electronic cigarette products , starting protection, waterproof, drop strength, atomized nicotine, atomized 2,3-butanedione, atomized heavy metals, atomized arsenic, nicotine released from electronic cigarettes, carbonyl compounds released from electronic cigarettes, 12 safety indicators such as atomized substance additives were tested. The inspection results showed that all the 12 safety indicators of the inspected products met the requirements of the National Compulsory Standard for Electronic Cigarettes (GB 41700-2022).


2. Spot check warning

Here, I would like to remind manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of e-cigarette products in Shenzhen:

First, production enterprises must organize production in strict accordance with laws, regulations, and national standards, and must not produce unqualified products. E-cigarette products on the market must pass technical review and must be consistent with the product information that has passed technical review.


Second, wholesalers and retailers must strictly implement the inspection and acceptance system for incoming goods, check product information and packaging integrity, take measures to ensure product quality, and must not sell substandard products.
