Leading Australian general practitioner and anti-smoking researcher has again stressed that switching from smoking to vaping is the most effective way to quit smoking given the relative safety of vaping.

Dr Colin Mendelsohn has even written a book on the topic, Stop Smoking: The Health Truth About Vaping, and he is also discussing the issue at the Cancer Council of Australia. Alessia Brooks from Cancer Council NSW recently said the council does not recommend vaping as a way to quit smoking because the evidence on this is inconclusive.
