1. China's General Administration of Customs updated the export data of e-cigarettes in June this year

In the early morning of July 6, inspectors of Yiwu Tobacco Monopoly Bureau and local public security departments carried out joint law enforcement, seized 8,806 disposable electronic cigarettes, 762 electronic cigarette sets and 6,537 flavored cigarette bombs in a warehouse in Yiwu, a total of 19,611, involving a sum of more than 1.08 million yuan, and locked 2 suspects involved. 7. The FDA issued warning letters to three distributors of flavored e-cigarettes


On July 27, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a ruling to ABS Distribution Inc., EC Supply, Inc. And Easy Wholesale, LLC issued warning letters saying the distributors were selling and/or distributing a variety of unauthorized flavored e-cigarette products.


The FDA says it has 15 business days after receiving the warning letter to respond, take steps to correct the violation and prevent recurrence. Failure to correct violations in a timely manner may result in FDA taking enforcement actions, such as injunctions, seizures, and/or civil fines.


8. More than 9,000 e-cigarettes are sold in the United States


According to the Associated Press, at present, due to the large number of unauthorized disposable e-cigarettes entering the U.S. market, the types of e-cigarettes sold in the United States have greatly increased to more than 9,000. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claims that it rejects about 99% of e-cigarette sales applications and only approves a small number of e-cigarettes aimed at adult smokers.


9. Russian Customs seized smuggled electronic cigarettes worth 6.5 million rubles


According to Russia's Kemerovo Customs press Service, customs officials, together with the Federal Security Service and transport police, seized more than 7,000 smuggled e-cigarettes worth 6.5 million rubles (about 513,000 yuan) in the Tomsk region. It is understood that these unlabeled e-cigarettes from China were originally destined for Tomsk stores.
